Haddon Hall - Courtyard
The Courtyard - Haddon Hall - Derbyshire. My favourite Stately Home - about 15 miles from our home. A sort of panoramic painting - almost 270degs around. Vertically....varies! Thanks daughter Sian for the idea.

Ffion Rose/Great Sand Dunes onesie
Our beautiful granddaughter Ffion Rose models the onesie I decorated with a painting of the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern Colorado when we were over there last August. Won't be long before she grows out of it..... next the Great Sand Dunes of the Sahara?

PEOPLES' CHOICE
BRAGGING RIGHTS. This is me winning the PEOPLES CHOICE prize at Sheffield's Art in the Gardens Open Art Competition this afternoon. That's Joe Scarborough Sheffield's most famous current artist on the right. Hope the handshake passed over some talent! The winning Artwork is of Whitby Harbour, North Yorkshire - one of my Urban Sketches.

Manchester Airport
Start of our American Journey Monday morning 3 August. Here's where my iPad comes into it's own. That's our Delta 767 that took us safely to Atlanta.
Atlanta Airport
Outward bound to Colorado Springs - stopover at Atlanta Airport. Feel the heat in the docking bridge between the aircraft and the air conditioned Terminal. Had a nice glass of red at the piano bar Terminal E. Saw dozens of Delta aircraft and one or two AirTran - like this one.

England, Sheffield, Ringinglow
There's a small group of poppies in the cornfield opposite Firs Farm on Ringinglow Road. It's on my regular (3.5 mile) speed walk to buy the local paper. The painting is drawn from my memory/imagination - that's supposed to be Hangram Lane in the mid ground and Fulwood/Crimicar Lane in the background. The sheep have their own fields, trees are omitted for clarity! Can you tell I've bought myself some coloured inks.

England, Sheffield - Napoleons
Our local (Ecclesall Road) Casino and a very nice restaurant. I've been meaning to do a drawing of this building for some time now. A bit of artistic licence on the shadows! First time I've used silver ink - pity it doesn't sparkle on this image.
Cornwall - Crowns Engine Houses
North Cornwall - saw this scene on Countryfile last Sunday. Gorse bushes overlooking Engine Houses overlooking sea. Thought I'd try out acrylic paper for the first time.

High Bradfield, North Sheffield
Delivered 8 paintings to St Nicholas' Church Bradfield today - there's an Art exhibition there on Easter Monday and Tuesday..... I just can't resist sketching a good old church! There's a spectacular view over the Loxley Valley to the south - thought I could see Robin Hood in the distance.

Not far from Dijon. I was surprised at the timber frame to the steeple - I was expecting stonework. Seems obvious now.
